Jason Paletta

Jason Paletta has approximately 25 years of law enforcement experience with 10 of those years being assigned to SWAT. Jason recently retired in 2024 as a full-time Special Agent, with duties consisting of Undercover, Surveillance and Search Warrant Operations while assigned to a Violent Crimes and Warrant Team.

From 2011 to 2013, Jason left Law Enforcement and served as a High Threat Diplomatic Security Professional. His tenure included an assignment as a member of the U.S. Ambassador’s Protection Detail and Counter Assault Team in Baghdad, Iraq. Jason also worked as a firearms instruction from 2003 to 2010 for a Northern California P.O.S.T. Police Academy.

Along with his extensive firearms experience, Jason helped to create his agency’s Gang Unit in Detectives, of which he was a member. Prior to Jason’s Law Enforcement career, he served as a Weapon Squad Team Leader with the 82nd Airborne Division where he was also tasked with teaching tactics and being a firearms instructor.

Jason holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Master’s Degree in Emergency Disaster Management from Arizona State University.

Jason is also a VIKTOS Brand Athlete, and considers himself a perpetual student, continuing to evolve by completing courses with myriad other well-known instructors.

Jason instructs annually at the Ohio Tactical Officers Conference (OTOA), the largest police tactical conference in the country.

With Jason’s demonstrated experience in training, he has taught firearm skills to everyone from novice firearms handlers at the police academy to seasoned soldiers, contractors, and law enforcement professionals.
